GoT season 7

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 airdate will start late this 2017 as confirmed by HBO and GoT showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss but when exactly the broadcast will begin remains unknown. Thankfully, a new report is claiming that season premiere for the show will happen June 25 or a delay of two months from last year.

In 2016, HBO started playing the drama the drama that unfolds in Westeros April 25. This year, it will be on the same date but two months after and information, according to GoT fan site Wiki of Thrones, came from the Game of Thrones' official IMDB page. If true, GoT will start this 2017 two days (and one year) apart from the airing of Game of Thrones Season 6 finale, which the same report noted hit the tube June 27.

The supposed GoT Season 7 airdate start is yet to be confirmed by Benioff or Weiss though HBO has recently indicated that the show will commence mid-summer of 2017 so the IMDB update and HBO-provided details appear to be on the same zone.

But setting aside the Game of Throne airdate question for now, what GoT fans can expect to be served with the upcoming instalment. To be sure and as hinted recently by the showrunners, the epic show will center on the attempt by Daenerys to reclaim the Iron Throne and Jon Snow's new role as the freshly-installed King in the North and his mission to stop the Night King from breaching The Wall and overrunning the Seven Kingdoms.

It looks like though that before Jon Snow could face his external enemies, he will need to deal with internal conflicts, according to Elite Daily. Pointing to a circulating fan theory, the report said that a civil war is likely to erupt and divide the House Stark.

But who will be opposing Snow? The most solid candidate is Sansa Stark, who the report said appeared unhappy when Winterfell was awarded to the bastard son of Ned Stark. It is theorized that Sansa will align herself with the cunning Littlefinger aka Lord Petyr Baelish in an attempt to take back what she thought is rightfully hers.

And the misfortunes that seem to wipe out the Starks from the face of Westeros will only continue come Season 7, Movie Pilot reported. Another fan theory picked up by the site claimed that Arya will join the dead Starks in the upcoming season. How exactly her death will transpire was not mentioned in the report but Arya is believed to be resurrected.

Arya, however, will not be reanimated like Jon Snow and her Uncle Benjen. Instead, she will take the body of her direwolf Nymeria, last seen running off after getting a piece of the then Prince Joffrey of House Baratheon.

As mentioned and if the IMDB leak will turn out solid, HBO will broadcast Episode 1 of Game of Thrones Season 7 on June 25, 2017.
