South Korean girl group 2NE1 bid "Goodbye" to their loyal fans by releasing their final track as promised on Jan. 21. The track brought nothing but tears to the loyal fans of the queens of Kpop.

The song is dedicated to 2NE1 fans, Blackjack, and featured three of the original members of the group, CL, Dara, and Park Bom.  Absent from this reunion is the group's original member Gong Minzy, who left the group in May 2016 and signed to Music Works.

The lyrics of the song was written by CL as the last gift to the fans and to apologize for their sudden disbandment. YG announced 2NE1 disbandment in November 2016 citing Minzy's departure made it hard for the group to continue.

Meanwhile, YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk explained his side on why he disbanded 2NE1. He said that Park Bom's mental health is a major consideration for the decision. He clarified that Bom suffered too much stress and guilt after her drug controversy.

However, Yang Hyun Suk is hopeful that 2NE1 will reunite sometime in the future like SES, who reunited for their 20th anniversary since their debut. This wish is echoed by CL who said that the members and situation must be favorable if they will reunite in the future.

Fans have become emotional thinking that this is the last song that the group will release. Blackjacks wished the members to do well in their individual careers and hoped that Park Bom will not be discouraged and will not stop singing.

This is followed by Park Bom's announcement that she will release an album this year. Other former members embarked on their solo careers with Minzy dropping an album this spring. CL and Dara are still under YG Entertainment.
