Due to the unpopularity of Lumia phones, Nokia is shelving the smartphones to make way for Microsoft Surface Phone 2017. Nokia was bought by Microsoft to be its mobile phone arm.
Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 release is reportedly happening soon and the tech giant could dip its hands in the phablet market. Due to its promising specs and features, Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 has become one of the most anticipated smartphones this year. It is rumored to be a powerful tablet in order to take on Apple's iPhone Plus line.
Based on the recent leaks, Microsoft Surface Phone has similar specifications with Nokia Lumia XL, which is the high end among Lumia phones. Thus, buyers can anticipate a smartphone with a large screen display. Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 will pack 5.5 inch screen display with quad HD resolution. The smartphone will pack a bright and vivid display of 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution.
To be at par with contemporary smartphones, the upcoming smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm's new and uber-powerful Snapdragon 835 processor and 6GB of RAM. Microsoft's recent achievement Windows 10 Mobile Redstone 3 will support the smartphone. This update would be much larger than the Redstone 2 update that is expected to release early 2017.
Microsoft Surface Phone 2017 will include a Continuum support, which means that Surface accessories will be compatible with the Windows Phone. The Windows Phone will include a Quick Charge 4.0 feature that can provide the Surface Phone five hours of power from just five minutes of charge.
Microsoft will release three variants of the upcoming Surface Phone. There is a possibility that one of the phones will be a high end, one is a hybrid or a deluxe version, and one is a mid-range handset.
