Creative Director at IO Interactive Christian Elverdam introduces 'Hitman' during the Square Enix press conference at the JW Marriott on June 16, 2015 in Los Angeles, California.

IO Interactive has revealed "Hitman's" January update release notes recently. The Steelbook Edition is now available as well.

The game developers revealed on the official website of the video game the contents of the latest update, which notably adds the new Professional Difficulty level. The new update is mandatory for all the players, and it will include different kinds of improvements across the board. It will also add the HDR support, and other new features.

When the update goes live, the video game will undergo a short maintenance period on all platforms. The download size of the update will be 1.8GB on the PlayStation 4, 8.1GB on the Xbox One, and 2GB on PC. The developers did not reveal why the Xbox One got a bigger download size of the update.

The update will add a new bonus mission called the Landslide or the Sapienza. It will have five new Guided Opportunities, one new weapon and gear to unlock, which can be earned through challenges, 35+ Landslide-specific challenges, and three new trophies or achievements to unlock.

The update has improved the menu navigation as well. The developers made it easier for players to navigate between all the content in-game, and get to where they want to be in a faster manner.

"Hitman" will now have HDR support on the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One S, and PC. Players will only need the proper TV to take advantage of this new feature.

The NPCs are more attentive this time around with the modified attention gain modifiers. They will now instantly focus on Agent 47 when the attention gain starts. This change reduces the time, where shortly entering an NPC's peripheral vision would cause the player to become spotted right away.

There is a new option to the Gameplay menu, which will allow the players to display the on-screen Mission Timer. This will make it more convenient for them to keep track of time when the mission starts. It will restart when the contract is restarted or replanned.

IO Interactive also revealed in another post on the official website of "Hitman" the physical copy release video game in the form of the Steelbook Edition. It is the complete first season of the video game, and it has its advantages. The third bonus mission will be released at no extra cost for those who bought this physical copy, and for those who got the Upgrade Pack.

The Steelbook Edition will contain several bonuses like the original soundtrack, and the Requiem Blood Money Pack. It will also have the making documentary about the video game.
