South Korean film "The Beauty Inside" is getting a much-deserved American remake that will star none other than "Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke. Sources confirm that Fox 2000 has bagged the rights to recreate the film.

Fox 2000 inked a $2 million deal to acquire the rights over "The Beauty Inside," beating out five other bidders, Deadline reported. The other companies that lined up to get the movie were Universal, New Line, Sony, STX and Lionsgate.

The screenplay for the American version of the South Korean hit will be penned by "The Fault In Our Stars" and "500 Days of Summer" writers Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber. Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey are attached as producers.

The film has booked Emilia Clarke to play the female lead. No other casting news has been confirmed. This will be Clarke's second attempt at a rom-com movie after appearing in the hit "Me Before You" alongside Sam Claflin.

The original South Korean version of "The Beauty Inside" tells the story of a man who faces a problem every single day of his life: every day he wakes up in a different body and having to adapt different genders, ages and ethnicities. The one thing that's constant in this state of confusing flux is the woman he loves, who is a prominent character in the story.

It is unclear whether Clarke will be playing the lead star in the remake or the female love interest to the male lead, similar to the Korean version.

According to Koreaboo, South Korea's "The Beauty Inside" featured top actors and actress led by Woo Jin, and included Han Hyo Joo, Do Ji Han, Park Shin Hye, Seo Kang Joon, Lee Dong Wook, Park Seo Joon, Lee Hyun Woo, and others.

This is not the first South Korean production that's being adapted for a Hollywood remake. ABC has reportedly green lit the US version of "My Love From The Star" and Korean drama series "Oh My Ghostess" is being developed at The CW. CBS is also reportedly making a new medical drama based on "Good Doctor."
