"Vikings" Season 4 finale (episode 20) is expected to be nothing less than spectacular. According to synopsis of "The Reckoning," Ragnar Lothbrok's sons will continue to fight against their enemies. Prince Aethelwulf finds himself subject to the Vikings master plan after he ordered a charge in episode 19. Meanwhile, King Ecbert is prepared to give the Vikings a fight. He has a plan of his own to follow as he defends his kingdom.
In addition, the show will introduce a new character before Season 4 comes to a close. The network has released a promo video for "Vikings" Season 4 finale (episode 20). It gives a glimpse of Jonathan Rhys Meyers' character Heahmund, a warrior bishop. He will reportedly be playing an important role in Season 5. Scroll down to watch the promo online.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, "Vikings" showrunner Michael Hirst hinted at "amazing battle sequences" between Vikings and the Saxons featuring in the finale.
"These are truly awesome battle sequences, but beneath that, there's a huge amount of emotional life. It's full of surprises," Hirst added. In addition, the showrunner revealed that not everyone will get out of it alive. Hirst said that "death comes to important people."
Back at Kattegat, Queen Lagertha must deal with King Harald's army. While the army is away fighting in Northumbria, King Harald opened attacked on Kattegat.
Major spoilers on Siver Times reveals that Vikings emerge victorious in the battle. Meanwhile, Ecbert is spared by Vikings. However, he commits suicide. And Ivar The Boneless reportedly kills Sigurd Snake-in-the-eye.
