Square Enix released several new details for "Final Fantasy" this week as they celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the beloved RPG franchise. This also marks the 20th anniversary of "Final Fantasy VII" as Square Enix is currently developing the remake version of the sequel for the PlayStation 4 console.

Unfortunately, Square Enix did not mention any news regarding "Final Fantasy 7" remake, but instead teased gaming fans with a new visual image of the game featuring protagonist Cloud Strife and the game's main nemesis Sephiroth.

In addition, Square Enix also revealed the release dates of "Final Fantasy XV's" DLC episodes as Episode Gladio Mach 28 and Episode Prompto will be on June. There is also a new superhero themed suits on Feb. 21.

"Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age" will launch on the PS4 on Juky 11 and teh Balthier will be added to "World of Final Fantasy". Lastly, "Stormblood" expansion of "Final Fantasy XIV" will launch on June 20, along with a live action show, VG 24/7 reported.

Square Enix will likely reveal more details about "Final Fantasy 7" remake at the the Monaco Anime Game International Conference (MAGIC) on Feb. 18.

Game director Tetsuya Nomura will be attending the event giving out announcement on "Final Fantasy 7" remake and "Kingdom Hearts 3".

With that being said, could Square Enix delay the release date of "FFVII" remake for next year, since they have given enough concrete details of the game since last year.

While the 2017 release date is in doubt, Nomura told Famitsu (via GamingBolt) that more details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake could be shown at E3 2017, Tokyo Game Show and event Jump Festa.

Previous reports revealed that there will be a special crossover between "Final Fantasy 7" remake and the PC version of "Mobius Final Fantasy" as Cloud could become a playable character.

Square Enix also added a new director handling the game as Kyohei Suzuki is chosen by the company, believing that having another game director could speed up its development.

Nomura is likely willing to have another director on board the project as long as they are in track of the game's development and release date.

Expect more details and a possible release date announcement for "Final Fantasy 7" remake next month.
