Tarek and Christina El Moussa will continue working on their reality television hit "Flip or Flop" even after divorce. Both may be fine with being apart in real life but still agree to work together for the "Flip or Flop" show to whom they are both committed. The executives of HGTV will monitor the show before deciding for more episodes or a spin-off.

Tarek and Christina split in December 2016 after being married for seven years. They wed in 2009 and were blessed with two children, Brayden El Moussa, 1 and Taylor El Moussa, 6.

"Like many couples, we have had challenges in our marriage," Christina and Tarek told PEOPLE. "We had an unfortunate misunderstanding about six months ago and the police were called to our house in an abundance of caution."

Tarek and Christina assured though that there were no violence and charges filed during the incident. HGTV had warned the couple in the wake of their split that they could be sued for breach of contract if their show is affected.

"Flip or Flop" will not be the same if the couple are not together, hence, the executives tried to reunite them for the show. If that is not possible, they both can just get along until the contract is over.

Christina has been cooperative because she also has desires to have a spinoff sans her husband, In Touch reported. She reportedly told HGTV that she prefers as her co-star, someone who is better-looking, sexier and younger.

Christina, however, is mum when asked about her own series. She would say she still does not know as she is already busy working.

"I've got so many things going on," the celebrity gossip and entertainment news site quoted Christina as saying during her Success Path seminar on Jan. 14. "I'm working on so much already."

Christina recently sought help online through her Instagram account for her daughter Taylor who is dealing with severe food allergies. Many fans offered their advice through the comment's section of the post for six-year-old's diet.
