Nintendo has released a new update for "Super Mario Run," which is currently available for iOS and is scheduled to launch for Android devices in March. The new updates add several new game modes and tweaks some of the existing features.

In an official tweet, Nintendo confirmed that the game now has an Easy Mode. This will allow players to experience "Super Mario Run" pressure-free and will help beginners practice each stage.

Easy Mode will remove the timer and gives players an infinite amount of respawn bubbles, Game Rant reported. The only downside is that the amount of collected coins will reset with each death. This new Easy Mode will be helpful in guiding players through a stage and to discover where the secrets are hidden.

A new "Gold Goomba" event has been added as well. This event will continue until Feb. 20. During the event, players can hunt and stomp on Golden Goombas to unlock a stamp. Collecting 30 such stamps will unlock the Golden Goomba building which can be used for the player's Mushroom Kingdom.

The Toad Rally mode will also receive a few fixes. This mode involves two players competing against each other online. The winning side gains a number of Toads and the loser will surrender some of their Toads. This new update reduces the number of Toads that the losing player has to give up.

All of these updates and changes are expected to be available for the Android version of the game the day it releases. A new event, specifically for Android gamers, may be conducted to replace the Gold Goomba event.

"Super Mario Run" has managed to garner over 78 million downloads, Polygon reported. However, only 3 million users paid to unlock the full version, with the vast majority of players settling for the free, restricted version. Expansions and updates such as this may be successful in enticing more players to pay for the full game.
