Gamegou: Revolutionizing Mobile Sports Games with Simple Fruit Ninja-Like Swiping--Watch Gameplay Here!

Gamegou's Soccer Shootout combines the excitement of sports games with simple Fruit Ninja-like gameplay.

Many would remember how Fruit Ninja became one of the most easily recognizable mobile games in recent memory--the game’s simple swipe-to-slash configuration won it the hearts of many smartphone owners looking for a bit of fun. Gamegou, a Chinese startup, recreates that in the form of sports games.

One of Gamegou's most popular games, Soccer Shootout, maximizes the power of swiping in an overall-entertaining gaming experience.

With such a simplistic yet promising move, the firm plans to remove the stereotypes of sports games as one exclusive to console gaming.

Soccer Shootout was effectively an update to one of Gamegou's successful releases: Perfect Kick, but the new game is far more lifelike and less cartoonish compared to its well-received predecessor--a factor that makes it more interesting to play.

Gamegou CEO and founder He Dongxu prides Perfect Kick's reputation as the first game that features competitive penalty shootouts against other users, bringing mobile gaming to an entirely new dimension in the form of multiplayer configurations.

With Soccer Shootout currently following in the footsteps of Perfect Kick, He hopes for his firm to become a global influence in the realm of sports game development for mobile gaming, with goals to size up to the likes of Tencent and Gameloft someday.

Such has been He's vision in forming Gamegou in 2010, having formed his management team members who have worked previously for tech giants - he himself once sat as Gameloft Sports China's Creative director.

Gamegou was conceived to target international audiences, as apparent in its English displays.

Using that sort of exposure, He hopes to reap the advantages of independent game development to supply for a niche in mobile gaming that allows for greater experimentation, despite the obvious drawback startups like Gamegou have against tech giants: greater resources and larger user networks.
