"Sniper Elite 4" is set in Italy, at the heights of World War II, with agent Karl Fairburne in a mission to save citizens from Fascism.

The PC version of the upcoming "Sniper Elite 4" will have DirectX 12 Support. Also, the new game will also be released for the PlayStation 4 Pro.

According to the "Sniper Elite 4" developer Rebellion as cited by Gamespot, the upcoming action game will deliver an enhanced frame rate, improved lighting and faster loading times on the PS4 Pro. Aside from these, the game will have an increased draw distance, geometry level of detail, improved shadows, and increased reflection image quality.

The PC version of the game will also enjoy the same enhanced features and improved performance rate. It is made possible by its DirectX 12 compatibility, making it a go-to game for Windows 10 users. Users can still play the game with the use of the DirectX 11, just in case, they have not made the upgrade yet.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Attack of the Fanboy, Rebellion creative head Tim Jones said that developing the game without previous-gen consoles in mind helped give "Sniper Elite 4" a bigger, more open world. The publication also notes that the entirety of the single player content had a smooth run despite being a third person game.

"Sniper Elite 4" also has a multiplayer mode called "Control," which is similar to a King of the Hill match. Two teams are pitted against each other in a race to control over certain changing points on the map, forcing players to fight small skirmishes against each other.

Overall, the publication concludes that the sniping and the gun play are excellent in "Sniper Elite 4" based on their experience. It continues to refine the sniping mechanics found in the previous "Sniper Elite" games, making it a fun experience for both veteran fans and newcomers alike.

"Sniper Elite 4" will be released on Feb. 14 for the PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, and the PC. Here is the teaser trailer for the game:
