Detroit rappers Eminem and Big Sean recently surprised their fans with a collaboration song titled "No Favors." On Feb. 3, Friday, the former took to Twitter to express how happy he was to be involved in the project.
Co-written by Sean and Eminem with Brittany Hazzard, Ebony Oshunrinde, Francis Bach-Hoang Nguyen Tran, Mark Sebastian, Steven Boone and John Sebastian, "No Favors" is from the fourth studio album of Sean titled "I Decided." The album was released by GOOD Music and Def Jam Recordings on Feb. 3, Friday.
"I Decided" is the first concept album of Sean, which he co-executive produced with his mentor Kanye West, who is set to show his collection done in collaboration with Adidas on Feb. 15 during New York Fashion Week, WWD reported. The album has 14 tracks, six of which are collaboration songs.
Aside from Eminem, "I Decided" also features Jeremih, Twenty88, The-Dream, Migos, Flint Chozen Chour and Starrah as collaborators. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was originally included in the lineup of collaborators but their collaboration song did not make it.
"The only reason that song didn't make the album was I didn't know if it fit," Sean explained in an interview with USA Today. "I wanted to keep it real cohesive. I didn't want to have stuff that kind of didn't fit or kind of did fit."
With a running time of 5 minutes and 25 seconds, "No Favors" is the longest collaboration song in "I Decided." The other five collaboration songs in the album are "Light" featuring Jeremih, "Same Time Pt. 1" featuring Twenty88, "Sunday Morning Jetpack" featuring The-Dream, "Sacrifices" featuring Migos and "Bigger Than Me" featuring Flint Chozen Chour and Starrah.
Sean's solo songs in "I Decided" are titled "Intro," "Bounce Back," "Jump out the Window," "Owe Me," "Moves," "Voice in My Head/Stick to the Plan," "Inspire Me" and "Halfway off the Balcony." Watch the music video of "Halfway off the Balcony" here:
