The leaked details of Xiaomi Mi 5c have been surfacing since several months. Now, fresh information has revealed that the device may come powered with octa-core Pinecone chipset manufactured by Xiaomi.

The phone is speculated to feature a 5.5-inch display with a 2.5D curved glass protection for the screen. It is likely to support a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels.According to research analyst Kevin Wang, the smartphone is likely to come powered by Xiaomi's own manufactured Pinecone octa-core SoC. The chipset is speculated to be based on Cortex-A53 cores in a 4 x 4 order.

The analyst shared that the device is expected to get announced in the current month. Another leakster claimed that there will be one more Pinecone chipset with powerful Cortex-A73 cores still in a 4 x 4 architecture. It is likely to launch in future.

Xiaomi's new phone is rumored to come packed with a 3 GB of RAM and a 64 GB internal storage. It is said to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies. The upcoming Mi 5c will run on MIUI 8  based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, Gizmo China reported.

According to 3c listing, the device will use 5V/2A power adapter, which means it will not have support for fast charging. Currently the device is known with a codename 'Xiaomi Meri'.The phone is designed with a thin frame along with smooth edges. It's volume and the power keys will be located on the right side and the phone's fingerprint sensor will come inbuilt in the physical home button.

It is learnt, that Xiaomi is working on Mi 6 flagship smartphone, which is expected to launch in the month of July. The phone is rumored to come powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. According to new report from GizChina, the device is likely to come with a lower clocked down to 1.8 GHz processor. These is in order to give better battery performance for the device.
