A recent U.S. survey named Park Shin Hye as America's favorite South Korean actress. Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo who starred in the global hit drama "Descendants of the Sun" landed at the bottom half of the said survey's top five list.

Park has been one of the active actresses in the South Korean entertainment industry in 2016. The dance protégé and former child star appeared in several movies and TV dramas such as the film "Annoying Brother" and the SBS medical drama "Doctors."

Given the "Pinocchio" star's popularity, Park nabbed the first spot on a survey to identify America's favorite South Korean actress, according to the Korea Creative Content Agency's U.S. branch, as cited by TV Report. At second place is the "Jealousy Incarnate" actress Gong Hyo Jin, followed by IU, the "Descendants of the Sun" actress Song and Hwang Jung Eum.

Apart from the actress, the said agency's survey also identified America's favorite South Korean actors. "Legend of the Blue Sea" star Lee Min Ho topped the said list, with Lee Joon Gi and Lee Jong Suk at second and third place, respectively, followed by Song Joong Ki and Ji Chang Wook.

The two lead members of "Descendants of the Sun" may have failed to top the agency's popularity lists, however, the KBS drama was named as America's most favorite series. Despite its April 2016 release, the said series bested "Scarlet Heart: Ryeo," "W - Two Worlds," including "Cinderella and Four Knights" and "Oh My Venus."

In other news, Park recently gifted the crew members of the film "Silence" with a fur-lined winter coat, All Kpop reported. As part of the said movie's cast, the actress conveyed her support to the production team with her thoughtful gift given South Korea's cold winter season.

Park portrays the lawyer named Hee Jung in the said movie, which is expected to be released sometime 2017. Watch a clip of Park's "Doctors" drama below:
