HMD Global has been rumored to be working on the launch of its new flagship device Nokia P1. The launch event is expected to be held on Feb. 26. Nokia's upcoming phone is speculated to feature a Snapdragon 835 chipset.

In the leaked invite revealed by Roland Quandt on Twitter, the event is scheduled for one hour from 16:30 to 17:30 on Feb. 26, a day ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The official invite from the company for the launch is expected to be heard very soon.

Nokia P1 Specifications and Features

The Nokia P1 concept made by ConceptCreator in the video design shows that it will come a metal frame with glass covering on both the sides front as well as back. The SIM slot is located on the left side of the phone. It also appears to have a home button on the front incorporated with the fingerprint reader.

Nokia's upcoming flagship smartphone is rumored to sport a 5.3-inch IGZO display. It will be coming with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The new device will come packed with a 6 GB of RAM and an inbuilt storage of 128 GB or 256 GB.

As previously mentioned, the Nokia P1 is said to come powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset. According to earlier reports, it was confirmed that the company is working on the device with Snapdragon 835 chipset by Nokia China on Weibo.

The phone is expected to come loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat. It's camera is said to feature Carl Zeiss optics with triple LED flash enabled 24-megapixel shooter. The branding of the phone is likely to be placed below the camera lens.

Nokia's rumored phone is said to feature a chassis with IP55/57 rating, which means the device will be dust resistant. It also appears to have a USB Type-C port, headphone jack and dual stereo speakers at the bottom.

Nokia P1 is likely to come equipped with a 3,500 mAh capacity battery and support quick charging. It will also include ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IndianExpress reported.

According to report, Samsung is already having the hoard of orders for Snapdragon 835 chipset. Since no Snapdragon 835 chipset powered smartphones are speculated to release before Galaxy S8 in April, Nokia P1 is rumored to launch later. It is also because of this reason the LG G6 is said to come equipped with Snapdragon 821 SoC rather than the next-generation chipset, GizmoChina reported.

In the last month, HMD Global released its first smartphone Nokia 6 with a 5.5-inch display. The device is currently limited to China market only. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC.

Nokia 6 smartphone boasts a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage. The phone features a 16-megapixel rear-camera and an 8-megapixel front facing camera. It comes equipped with a non-removable Li-Ion 3,000 mAh capacity battery.
