LG has been teasing their G6 flagship smartphone again in the new press invites. The South Korean tech giant will reportedly launch the device in the United States a month later after its release in South Korea.

The LG G5 did not do so well as the modularity was not accepted with open arms by customers across the world. LG seems to have learned its lesson as its new flagship device will no longer sport the modular gimmicks.

LG G6 specs will be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2017 with the April 7 release date set for the U.S., according to a planning material obtained by Venture Beat. Customers in South Korea will get the LG G6 a month earlier than those in the U.S.

Samsung has delayed their Galaxy S8 launch because they wanted to make sure that there are no problems that can cause accidents again. This gives LG an advantage to sell earlier than their competitor in the smartphone market.

The LG G6 press invite sent to Engadget teases the device's large screen with an included diagram. It also contains the words "Big Screen That Fits" which emphasizes the display of the flagship smartphone.

Unfortunately, LG will still be using the traditional LCD panel for the G6's 5.7-inch display with 1440p resolution. Samsung is ahead of their competitors with their Super AMOLED panels that are brighter and more efficient.

The LG G6 will reportedly use just the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which is just a tad faster than the previously released LG V20. One advantage that the G6 does have is that customers can rest easy knowing that it will not explode unlike what happened with the Galaxy Note 7.

With dust and water resistance expected, the LG G6 would be a good choice for power users. Interested customers in the U.S. will have to wait until April for the release of the device.
