A consumer enjoy the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smart phone at The Samsung Experience at the PGA Championship 2016 at Baltusrol Golf Club on July 30, 2016 in Springfield, New Jersey.

Samsung will reveal the highly anticipated Galaxy S8 soon but that does not stop leaks from surfacing. One of the newest leaks is an alleged photo of the phone case which shows the possible location of the fingerprint reader.

The South Korean tech giant is handling a lot of pressure as the Samsung Galaxy S8 would be the first device be released after the Galaxy Note 7 mishap. Samsung even delayed the release date of the flagship smartphone to make sure that it would not have any problems that may cause harm again to their customers.

New Galaxy S8 leaked photos coming from Chinese website Weibo, as cited by Value Walk. now show the fingerprint reader beside the rear camera. That would be an awkward position considering that the camera glass may be smudged when the user attempts to place their finger on the sensor.

The LG V20 has a similar setup but the reader is placed below the dual-camera setup. It does not lead to a smudged camera glass and actually works for both the left and the right hand.

Previous leaks have also claimed that the physical home button will be omitted and will be embedded digitally inside the display. This allows for a larger screen estate for the user.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be driven by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 which is 40 percent more efficient in consuming battery power, Forbes reported. It would help the S8 beat the LG G6 which is expected to use only the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.

In terms of battery life, the S8 is expected to have a 3250mAh capacity. The bigger Galaxy S8 Plus variant will reportedly have 3750mAh. Both models are expected to have curved edge screens which means there will be no Edge variant anymore.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 will not be present at MWC 2017 but the company will reveal the product in their own press conference in March. It would land later than the LG G6.
