With "Teen Wolf" nearing the end of its six-season run, avid fans of the MTV series have been looking forward to seeing some of the old characters return to the show. Viewers can expect to see several people who made a difference in Scott's (Tyler Posey) and his friends' lives appear in the series.

The back half of "Teen Wolf" Season 6 will feature the reappearance of a few beloved characters as the MTV series nears its final chapter. With the various personalities, both good and bad, who have come and gone from the show, here are some of the characters slated to return to Beacon Hills, as well as a few who might appear in upcoming episodes:

Papa McCall

Scott's father FBI agent Rafael (Matthew Del Negro), also known as Papa McCall, will return to Beacon Hills but not to reunite with his son. In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Jeff Davis shared that the town's chaotic state will force the said character to travel back to Scott's home to take care of an FBI-related case.

Derek Hale

Scott and his friends will also encounter the pack's former alpha namely Derek (Tyler Hoechlin). Davis previously teased of Hoechlin's impending appearance during the MTV series' 2016 Comic-Con panel.

The "Teen Wolf" executive producer told the event's attendees that Hoechlin would be one of the original characters who will return for the show's final season, Deadline quoted the showrunner as saying. However, he declined to share details of Derek's role in the series' final chapter.

Peter Hale

Viewers have already seen Peter (Ian Bohen) in the first half of "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Malia's (Shelley Hennig) father will continue to appear in the MTV series' final ten episodes, where the show's writing team will explore more of the two characters' relationship.

Kira Yukimura

At this time, it is still unsure if Kira (Arden Cho) will appear in upcoming episodes but viewers can expect to learn more about what happened to Scott's former girlfriend. Davis also mentioned that Cho's return is "not outside the realm of possibility."

"Teen Wolf" Season 6 will return to the small screens in summer. Watch one of the memorable scenes from the MTV show's midseason finale:
