The latest details and spoilers for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature a new Iron Man armor, Ned Leeds role and two Spider-Man villains coming to the MCU.
It seems that Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) might showcase a new armor in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as Hasbro's new line of Marvel Legends toy sets revealed Tony's latest armor having a key resemblance to the Ultimate Iron Man in the Ultimate Marvel comics.
Other figures in the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" Marvel Legends figures include a Spider-Man Web Wings Suit figure, a Spider-Man Homemade Suit figure, and a Spider-Man and Iron 2-Pack. Each pack contains one piece necessary to complete the Vulture with Flight Gear Build-A-Figure, ComicBook reported.
It is no secret that iron Man will play an important role in Peter Parker/Spider-Man's (Tom Hollands) life as he keeps an eye on him and tries to mentor him on how to be a better hero. Tony first found out that Peter was Spider-Man before the events "Captain America: Civil War" and went to his home in Queens, New York to recruit him, even giving him a new suit before their battle with Captain America's (Chris Evans) forces.
Tony plays similar to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in a way tries to help him out and tries to take pause, begins practically assessing his new ward’s suitability for the Avengers and tries to keep Peter in check, showing signs of maturity in his part.
Co-producer Eric Hauserman Carroll stated that Peter's participation in "Captain America: Civil War" had a huge mental effect in his life as he not only saw the Avengers, he wants to join them, but has reponsibilities as a student and he is stuck in the situation, hence his desperate need to prove himself to Tony as a future member of the team.
Tony on the other hand, tries to be a the father figure in Peter’s life. And while it is to some degree one-sided, with Peter clearly reading more into the relationship, with him being just a teenager, Tony has some clear affection for his young ward as he allows Peter to keep the new Stark Industries suit and as they depart gives some convoluted hero advice, then, later on, begins to get much sterner, all in an attempt to keep the teenager safe.
There relationship could be the key point for Peter to overcome obstacles and to prove himself as he selfless hero and possibly future member of the Avengers.
In other news, Peter's bestfriend Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon) will be helping him in "Spider-Man: Homecoming".
Ned Leeds is the first person from Peter's (Holland) school who discovered that he is Spider-Man by accident. Holland stated that Ned is a gamer in the film and will likely help Peter unlock the many features in Spidey's suit.
Aside from that, two Spider-Man characters could be debuting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. According to Schmoes Know, someone in the Marvel comics will appear leave a huge impact in coming Spider-Man sequels in the MCU.
It is hinted that Norman Obsborn/Green Goblin or Eddie Brock/Venom could be appearing in the new Spider-Man films. These two villains are Spider-Man's greatest foes as Green Goblin was responsible for killing Gwen Stacy, Peter's first love and failure in the comics, while Venom has a deadly vendetta against him for abandoning the symbiote and for destroying Brock's career as a journalist.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
