Mick Foley is doing a fine job as the general manager of Monday Night Raw under the guidance of Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. However, the latest WWE rumors imply that Foley will be out as the Raw general manager after WrestleMania 33.

Stephanie named Foley the Raw general manager a couple of weeks before the WWE Draft last July 2016. Many fans were surprised by the decision but it was a good choice rather than seeing Triple H or any other heel general manager running raw with the commissioner.

According to Cageside Seats, Mrs. Foley's baby boy is going to be out of a job after WrestleMania 33 since he is not expected to Raw's general manager following the event. The WWE already teased the idea of firing Foley at the start of the year with Stephanie' evaluation storyline.

It is not a surprise to know that Foley will get fired on television because he needs the time off to undergo full hip replacement surgery. The Raw GM told his followers on Facebook at the start of February that he was cleared to have surgery after getting his health insurance back, per Wrestling Inc.

The 51-year-old legend also noted that he needs to take a hiatus after the surgery. He added that he won't be able to fly in six weeks after the surgery because of a potential blood clotting issues that could be fatal.

The WWE surely has planned ahead on how they will fire Foley on television. It is going to be a slow burn between him and Stephanie as Raw prepares for WrestleMania 33. The only question is if there will be other talents involved in the storyline.

In an appearance on Jim Ross' The Ross Report podcast, Foley revealed that his firing on television is coming very soon. He added that he hopes the WWE uses the story to put over someone and not just waste the opportunity.

"It's coming and we know it's coming. Like, it's not a long-tenured position, especially if they put an emphasis on you. It's two things. Really, the big thing is hoping it pays off for somebody. When my time is up, I hope Stephanie gets a heck of a promo out of it and it helps somebody," Foley said.
