Eyefi, the Wi-Fi enabled SD card maker, has launched its brand new 32GB Wi-Fi SD card- the Eyefi Mobi Pro, Thursday.

Referred by the company as the world's most powerful Wi-Fi SD card ever made, Eyefi Mobi Pro offers photographers the ability to determine which items get transferred automatically from their camera into their mobile devices or computer units. Its original version transferred all images taken to a single computer or device, which is not as flexible as the new one.

With the use of a mobile device, the card will take over the Wi-Fi for a while to transfer images before dropping the connection. In homes, the card can work together with your local network so it could seamlessly transfer without interruptions.

While all these sound great, CNET has highlighted that the card's speed of transfer is too low, 13MB/Sec write and 23MB/Sec read, and are not what is exactly ideal for taking images with high-resolution. Its price tag of $99.99 is also rather steep for a 32GB storage capacity.

All buyers, also, will automatically get 12 months worth of membership to the company's cloud storage service, made possible at $49.99. After this time period, the user will have to shoulder the bill for the cloud service, if the service is a needed storage investment.

Since the service is working with Eyefi's stores, applications, and syncs photos automatically, there would be a lesser need for acquiring a larger storage. However, when the specified time span is up, a user will have to shed out some significant amount of money to the storage unlimited.
