A woman was arrested for an indecent exposure in front of a Florida Dunkin' Donuts store. The arresting officers were told that she got naked as a dare. Shakara Martin, 32, was arrested by the West Palm Beach Police after Magdalena Rivera, an employee of the Dunkin' Donuts franchise store, reported the incident.
She said that Martin was not wearing a scrap of clothes. She sat at the table outside the franchise store and trying to chat with a customer who was on the table. Some people began to complain that prompted the franchise store employee to call the West Palm Beach police.
Magdalena Rivera told the police that the naked woman is scaring their customers. She does not wear any bra and completely naked.
There were several people who offered Miss Martin clothes, however, witnesses said that the naked woman refuses to accept them. She, however, pleaded to the police and made apologies. The police courted her to the precinct for interrogation and questioning, according to WPBF.
At the police station, she told police investigator that she got naked as a mere stunt because of her pledge to a sorority group. However, police did not disclose the name of the sorority. She further claims that she wanted to join a dance troupe and as a requisite, she has to do the stunt.
Martin was later released after her own recognizance from the jail and promised not to do it again in any public places, as reported by The Huffington Post.
In 2013, the Dunkin' Donuts filed a complaint against a Massachusetts man who showed up in their store naked and won a desist order. However, as of this press release, the Dunkin' Donuts franchise store did not issued any comments about the incident, whether Miss Martin is welcome back to the franchise store.
