It seems that “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” actor Park Bo Gum’s Asia fan meet would end in Singapore on Feb. 18 at the Star Theater Performing Arts. When Blossom Entertainment announced in November his fan meet schedule, the agency listed eight countries with China supposed to be the last stop.

However, after Soompi reported about the Bangkok fan meet on Feb. 11, the entertainment website said the Asia tour will end in a fan meeting in Seoul on March 11. There was no more mention of China, although the previous announcement did not provide a definite date for a China fan meet.

THAAD Issue Rears Ugly Head

One possible reason why China is likely excluded is that the ban on Hallyu remains because of the THAAD missiles deployment which has affected Korean stars and dramas. Park Bo Gum was likely just added to the list of victims of the Hallyu ban, including his bromance partner Song Joong-ki whose Vivo phone TV commercial was pulled off the air, although the Chinese phone maker honored its commitment and paid the “Descendants of the Sun” actor in full despite the commercial no longer airing.

As Yibada scooped, Song Joong-ki was the special guest of Park Bo Gum in the Bangkok fan meet which brought 4,000 fans. His appearance was kept a secret and not announced, but the 31-year-old actor posted his photo at Thailand’s airport in the morning of Feb. 11 which was a dead giveaway that he would be the special guest.

Like the Taiwan fan meet when the two actors had great fun, it was similar at the Bangkok event where they played the OX and cushion games, and drew each other’s portrait. The two showed they were not only a bromance item but each other’s fan when it comes to acting.

Change Roles

Park Bo Gum cited Song Joong-ki’s role in “A Werewolf Boy” as something he would like to do if given the chance because he was touched by the way his friend acted only with his eyes. In turn, Song Joong-ki pointed to Park Bo Gum’s role in “Love in the Moonlight” where his bromance partner “looked really cool” in the drama, AllKpop reported.
