Eating fruits rich in flavonoids helps in weight loss and controls intake-calories

The recent study by Harvard Medical School found that consuming more fruits rich in flavonoids can help in losing weight. Eating more fruits daily like blueberries, strawberries or apple can prevent obesity, even if eating the same amount of calories.

Researchers suggest that taking fruits and vegetables high in flavonoids may assist with weight control. The Department of Nutrition researcher Monica Bertoia said that apples, berries, pears, and peppers are best for the body, as per Huffington Post.

Scientists found that increased consumption of most flavonoid subclasses was connected with less weight gain among men and women aged 27 to 65 for more than 25 years. Researchers observed 125,000 people diets, weight, and lifestyle. Flavonoid has 15-carbon skeleton, which found berries, parsley, black tea and all citrus fruits. Researchers suggested 2.6 servings per day of food rich in flavonoid.
