More major names have been added to NBA trade rumors being buzzed before the deadline, including the Detroit Pistons' franchise player.

It would not have been imagined at the start of the season as there were high hopes in Motor City. However, injuries and poor chemistry has pushed them outside the playoff picture if the season ended today.

Now, Zach Lowe of ESPN has confirmed that the team is indeed considering trades for all players, including Andre Drummond.

"Detroit has quietly explored the trade market for each of its franchise centerpieces (Reggie Jackson is the other) according to sources across the league, and come away disappointed with the potential return. (Van Gundy himself has said anyone is available for 'the right price.')"

There is no clear determination of how much intent was given during the Pistons' "exploration." It could be just a front office's due diligence or the players actually being offered. One thing is clear, the term "untouchable" does not exist in Stan Van Gundy's playbook.

Still, it's not easy to stumble on a player like Drummond. Despite all his weaknesses, if he is indeed available, he trumps all the centers on the current trade market with his combo of youth and athleticism. DeMarcus Cousins and Hassan Whiteside are not considered available as yet.

Lowe cautiously added: "Any Drummond deal at the deadline is an extreme long shot, but Jackson remains in play for Minnesota, Orlando, New Orleans, or some mystery destination. Even if Detroit keeps him, missing the playoffs would put dramatic changes on the table this summer."

Any conversation about centers on the trade market will soon involve the Boston Celtics. Rebounding is the field where the Celtics are weakest and this is why The Sports Blaze suggested that Boston's front office, specifically Danny Ainge should offer his top trade asset, the Brooklyn Nets' pick swap.

"If Drummond does get traded, it will likely be to a contending team. While most contending teams do not have the pieces to acquire Drummond, the Celtics do, and they will be foolish if they do not try and pursue him."

Marcus Smart could be added in the deal along with Amir Johnson, an expiring contract. Losing Drummond could push the Pistons to lose their playoff chances and emerge with two lottery picks, with the Nets' pick possibly at the top four.
