The latest details for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature three main characters and a possible PC version of the sequel.
It seems that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could likely have a PC version as popular anti-tamper technology company Denuvo has been hacked and numerous pieces of information were released online. One of these leaked information is a list of developers that had either planned to use or are planning to use Denuvo as DRM protection.
A Rockstar Game is mentioned in the list which had gaming fans speculating that a PC version for "Red Dead Redemption 2" could happen soon. The first game was not incorporated to the PC platform and was a major blow to gaming fan, particularly PC users who are not able to enjoy it, IDigital Times reported.
In other news, rumors are making rounds regarding the number of playable characters in "Red Dead Redemption 2".
The sequel is speculated to feature three playable characters in its story mode along with an open-world map, stranger events and gang hideouts
This is somewhat surprising for most gaming fans as the game features are similar to that of "GTA 5" were in the story sees three playable characters; Franklin, Michael and Trevor, Express Uk reported.
Previous reports revealed that Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick told several investors that "Red Dead Redemption 2's" sales potential in perspective, stating that its predecessor shipped over 15 million units in the course of its run, including 8.5 million units in the first year.
Unfortunately, Zelnick did not say what those numbers suggest about the sequel's sales, but one has to assume that Take-Two expects the game to outpace its predecessor.
In order to do so. Rockstar Games and Take-two will have to think of ways to hype the gamers in buying "Red Dead Redemption 2" as Zelnick added that the marketing team in Take-Two will share ideas to make the sequel interesting and marketable.
Zelnick added that "RDR 2's" online multiplayer mode will not not "cannibalize" the "GTA Online" mode of "Grand Theft Auto 5" as he believed that both online games will succeed in their own way.
How "Red Dead Redemption 2's" online mode will differ from "GTA Online" is unclear, but it would not be surprising to see the Western sequel take a few pages out of the open world crime game’s playbook.
"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
