Derrick Rose of the New York Knicks looks on as Carmelo Anthony addresses the media during the New York Knicks Media Day at the Ritz Carlton on September 26, 2016 in White Plains, New York.

Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks has been subject to tons of trade rumors in the National Basketball Association but after more than a month of speculations, he still dons the orange and blue. But as the NBA trade deadline draws closer, the iso-heavy forward might actually stay in the Big Apple.

In recent trade rumors, the Knicks had contacted the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Clippers but weeks later, a deal has yet to be made. Anthony has a no-trade clause and if he does not want the team he is going to be dealt to, he has the power not to waive it. And it looks like Anthony's direction is to stay with the Knicks, CBS Sports reported.

Knicks president clearly wanted to trade Anthony that he sought the Cavaliers for a possible deal involving Kevin Love. Clearly, Anthony wanted to play with close friend LeBron James and maybe get his first NBA championship but the Cavaliers organization wants to stay with their core.

New York then pursued a trade with the Los Angeles Clippers and in desperation of shipping Anthony to another team, the Knicks agreed to trade even without the Big Three of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan in the package. Now, they are seeking the Boston Celtics and with just two days to go before the trade deadline, the rumors heat up.

In other news, the Knicks are also included in trade rumors regarding point guard Derrick Rose. According to ESPN, the Minnesota Timberwolves have contacted the Knicks for a potential trade involving Rose and veteran playmaker Ricky Rubio.

It is worth noting that Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau has coached Rose in his best years with the Chicago Bulls where he won a Most Valuable Player and that Rubio is reportedly not part of the long term plan of Minnesota as rookie Kris Dunn is considered the franchise's future point guard.
