Eminem is the headliner of Reading and Leeds Festival 2017 in August. While details have yet to be confirmed, it is not impossible for the "Rap God" rapper to surprise his fans during the said event by releasing his ninth studio album.
This is not the first time Eminem headlined Reading and Leeds Festival. He headlined the festival in 2001 and in 2013.
For the installment of the headline this year, Eminem will headline the Reading on Aug. 26 and the Leeds on Aug. 27. He will be joined by Major Lazer, Korn, Flume, Andy C, Becky Hill, Tom Misch, Jaguar Skills and Migos, among others.
Aside from Eminem, the other two Reading and Leeds Festival 2017 headliners are Kasabian and Muse. Kasabian will headline the Reading on Aug. 25 and the Leeds on Aug. 26 while Muse will headline the Reading on Aug. 27 and the Leeds on Aug 25.
"Eminem returning to Reading and Leeds is beyond exciting," NME quoted R&L boss Melvin Benn as saying. "His 2013 headline performance was incredible and I can't want to have him back. In addition to our third and final headliner, joining Kasabian and Muse, we've announced over 70 additional acts to this year's line-up. It's looking stronger than ever."
Fans are expecting that Eminem is release his next album before 2018. They have yet to see whether the album will be released before or after Reading and Leeds Festival 2017.
Meanwhile, producer and songwriter Jeff Bass recently talked about the first time he met Eminem. The two are both from Detroit, Michigan.
In an interview with Billboard, Bass said Eminem was already sending people his mixtapes and work. The former added that the latter was "always ready to work and had a passion for it."
