South Korean K-pop group TWICE members pose on the red carpet of the '2016 Asia Artist Awards' in Seoul, South Korea, on Nov. 16, 2016.

K-Pop girl group TWICE has several reasons to celebrate this year. Recently, the group was voted the best K-Pop female group by fans from around the world who responded to an annual survey.

At the 12th Annual Soompi Awards, TWICE won the Best Female Group award. Voted by hallyu fans from 139 countries across the globe, the winners of the annual survey were announced on March 2, Thursday, by Soompi.

With Fuse and ZANYBROS as partners, the United States-based online news provider specializing in Korean pop culture received almost 100 million votes from Dec. 19, 2016 to Jan. 16. There were 29 categories in the survey.

TWICE was formed by JYP Entertainment through the 2015 reality show "Sixteen." It has nine members namely Tzuyu, Chaeyoung, Dahyun, Mina, Jihyo, Sana, Momo, Jeongyeon and Nayeon.

On Feb. 20, TWICE released a special album titled "Twicecoaster: Lane 2" along with its lead single "Knock Knock." The special album was a reissue of "Twicecoaster: Lane 1."

JYP Entertainment founder and CEO J.Y. Park was the producing director of the music video of "Knock Knock." In a recent interview with Sports DongA, as cited by All Kpop, Nayeon, Dahyun and Jihyo shared their experience working with Park.

Nayeon revealed that they shared a screenshot of Park in their group chat after watching the "Knock Knock" music video and made it their profile pictures. Dahyun added that the producing director had a different vibe during filming.

Park advised TWICE to work harder and show more of their talent, Jihyo revealed. According to her, he did not scold them and they had not heard him say bad things to them since "Sixteen." In fact, he told them they did well and he was proud of them, she said.
