Domino’s Pizza is right in making a third bromance-themed commercial with “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki and “Moonlight Drawn by Clouds” star Park Bo Gum. The two actors are the hottest celebrities in South Korea and China not just in terms of controversies but also in their drawing power.

According to Soompi, in a recently released annual ranking of the Top 40 Power Celebrities by Forbes Korea, Park Bo Gum topped the list, followed by Song Joong-ki. It is the first time that the two actors – speculated to be in a real-life bromance – entered the list and topped it. Their emerging at the top is definitely the result of the two starring in blockbuster TV series and several commercial endorsements.

Athletes Too

Making up the top 10 of the list are TWICE, EXO, BTS, Bae Suzy, “Descendants of the Sun” actress Song Hye Kyo, Kim Yoo Jung and Oh Seung Hwan, an athlete. Noticeably, actors and boy/girl bands dominated the list, although a few more athletes entered the list such as Lee Se Dol in 15th place, Son Heung Min in 16th place, Lee Dae Ho in 20th place, Ryu Hyun Jin in 25th place, Kim Hyun Soo in 28th place, Kim Yuna in 29th place, Son Yeon Jae in 32nd place, Park Byung Ho in 33rd place and Park Sung Hyun in 39th place. In 37th place is Baek Jong Won, the only chef in the list.

The popularity of Park Bo Gum continues since he and Kim Yuna, the queen of figure skating in Korea, teamed up for a photo shoot with Coca-Cola, the official partner of the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics hosted by the Korean city. Soompi, which reported on Friday their selection as spokespersons for the campaign of Coca-Cola in the international sporting event, explained that the two were chosen by the soft drinks brand because they bring joy and excitement to people and are loved by Koreans, regardless of age or gender.

Their photo shoot would be used by Coca-Cola for future promotional activities to encourage Koreans to join the Olympics torch relay. With the two in the photo shoot is the signature polar bear of the company. The campaign would be available on “Coke Play,” a mobile app.
