‘Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma’ Season 3 to be released on July 1?

'Food Wars!: Shokugeki no Soma' is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki.

"Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 2 ended with Soma Yukihira returning to Totsuki Culinary Academy as the Stagiaire training program was over. Fans of the anime series cannot wait to know what happens to Soma now that he is ready to take on anyone who challenges him to a high-stakes cooking duel called a Shokugeki. 

Details about the "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 2 release date are still not available. Fans over Reddit believe that the third season with have 13 episodes like the second season.

"Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 3 is expected to cover the next two arcs after the Autumn Election arc. The season is also believed to end with a cliffhanger with a new character introduced in the last episode.

With 24 episodes, "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 1 premiered on April 4, 2015 and ended on Sept. 26, 2015. The first of the 13 episodes of Season 2 aired on July 2, 2016 and the final episode Sept. 24, 2016.

It appears that the last episode is being scheduled to air on the third or fourth week of September. This means that if "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" Season 3 has 13 episodes only, it will premiere on July 1 and will end on Sept. 24.

The first part of the original video animation of "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" titled "Takumi's Downtown Battle" aired on May 2, 2016 while the second part titled "Erina's Summer Vacation" aired on July 4, 2016. Similarly, the third and fourth parts are scheduled to be released on May 2 and July 4, respectively.

On July 4, the 25th volume of the "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" manga will go on sale in Japan retailing for 3240 yen ($28.6) including tax. It will include an OVA DVD as a bonus with a new story focusing on the election of the Elite Ten, the student council who shape the Tōtsuki Culinary Academy course, according to Ota-suke.

Like "One Piece," "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma" is a Japanese manga series serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump before adapted into successful anime series. Hiroaki Miyamoto and Yoshitomo Yonetani directed the anime series adaptations of "One Piece" and "Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma," respectively.
