A Chinese man gave a “Neverfull” Louis Vuitton handbag worth $1,100 to his grandmother. He gave the luxury item, which many urban females dream of owning one, to his granny because she has been using her old handbag for so many years.

Granny Uses Bag

Because the old woman is not fashion conscious, she likely was not aware that the Louis Vuitton brand is iconic and products from the French stores are extremely expensive. The Taiwanese granny, to show her appreciation for the gift from her grandson showed him that she is using the bag, BBC reported.

However, the grandson was surprised to see inside the pricey bag were groceries and fresh fish she purchased from the market. She told him that she appreciated the gift because it was waterproof – making it a perfect item to carry wet produce – although she noted it was a bit heavy.

The grandson was speechless when he saw the bag’s contents but did not tell her about the brand and its price because he saw his granny is happy using the Louis Vuitton bag. He instead posted the incident on social media and it became viral with more than 31,000 likes.

Rumor about LV Bags

The bag’s reputation has preceded it that one commenter wrote, “No wonder LV bag has such a good reputation; it can last really long and is very durable.” The netizen was citing a rumor that the Louis Vuitton luggage of Titanic survived the ship’s sinking but not their owners.

Just to indicate how expensive a Louis Vuitton bag is, a Queens man allegedly stole singer John Legend’s $30,000 LV bag at John F. Kennedy airport in late March. The suspect was charged with third-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and attempted grand larceny, Pix11 News reported.
