Colin Firth and Taron Egerton attend 'Kingsman: The Secret Service' New York Premiere at SVA Theater on Feb. 9, 2015.

Ladies and gentlemen-the first look photos of "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" are here! The spy sequel has officially begun teasing fans with the release of its explosive short trailer and exclusive first photos.

Taron Egerton and Colin Firth are back in "Kingsman 2" as Eggsy Unwin and Harry Hart. Original cast member Mark Strong is also returning as Merlin. In the sequel, they are joined by new A-list cast members including Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry and Channing Tatum. "Narcos" star Pedro Pascal is also part of the sequel while Elton John is appearing as a "Vaughn-ized" version of himself, Entertainment Weekly reported.

There are going to be quite a lot of big changes in the sequel and new figures are stepping in. For one, fans will be introduced to Statesmen, which is the American counterpart of Kingsman. Mark Strong's Merlin is said to form a romantic relationship with Halle Berry's character, who is described as an "across-the-pond spymaster."

Berry's character is Strong's character's equivalent in Statesmen. Both are tech nerds equipped with clipboards and glasses. "Might there be some geeky love?" Strong teases.

Tatum, on the other hand, is playing a cowboy-spy. Moore, who is the sequel's villain Poppy, is said to be far more dangerous and evil than Samuel L. Jackson's Richmond Valentine.

Firth's Harry Hart was shot in the head in the first movie, and his shocking return is one of the biggest mysteries in the sequel. Director Matthew Vaughn previously joked that Harry's death "was all a dream."

Meanwhile, Egerton, the movie's lead star, has painted a more explosive picture of "Kingsman: The Golden Circle." "If the first Kingsman was Captain America, then this is very much The Avengers now," the 27-year-old actor said, as quoted by Collider.

Egerton was the first film's breakout star. From a kid fresh out of drama school, "Kingsman" catapulted Egerton to superstar status. He has since starred in "Legend" with Tom Hardy and "Eddie the Eagle" with Hugh Jackman. He's also set to star as Robin Hood in the 2017 remake of the titular film.

"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" will premiere on Sept. 29.
