Bryce Harper belted a three-run homer to highlight his three-hit performance as the host Philadelphia Phillies overcame a seven-run deficit for a 17-8 victory over the Chicago Cubs on Thursday.
Harper also ripped a go-ahead double in the sixth inning off Manuel Rodriguez (3-3) as the Phillies erased a seven-run deficit for the second time this season. Jean Segura (three hits) and Odubel Herrera each had three RBIs for Philadelphia.
Hector Neris (3-6) picked up the win after striking out four batters in two innings of relief.
Chicago's Matt Duffy launched a three-run homer to highlight a seven-run third inning. Willson Contreras also went deep to join Patrick Wisdom in driving in two runs for the Cubs.

Austin Hays hit a bases-loaded RBI single off Wandy Peralta in the 10th inning as Baltimore rallied to beat visiting New York to throw a wrench in its division rivals' playoff aspirations.
Pinch runner Kelvin Gutierrez scored the tying run in the ninth off the second wild pitch of the inning by Clay Holmes, who blew a two-inning save attempt.
Ryan Mountcastle set an Orioles rookie record with his 29th homer of the season off starter Jordan Montgomery, wrestling the mark from Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr.

Fernando Tatis Jr. hit his 39th home run and teammates Tommy Pham and Manny Machado added two-run hits as visiting San Diego salvaged a split of a four-game series against San Francisco.
Nabil Crismatt threw four shutout innings in a bulk-innings role, helping the Padres move within a half-game of the St. Louis Cardinals in the National League wild-card race. The Padres travel to St. Louis for a three-game showdown beginning Friday.
A second straight loss resulted in the Giants seeing their NL West lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers trimmed to one game.

Carlos Correa keyed a seven-run fourth inning with a three-run home run as Houston finished a 3-1 series at Arlington, Texas.
The Astros sent 11 batters to the plate in the fourth while producing their highest-scoring inning of the season. Alex Bregman finished the night with four RBIs, and Houston's Chas McCormick hit a two-run homer in the eighth inning.
Correa, Bregman, Yuli Gurriel, Kyle Tucker and Jose Siri recorded two-hit games for the Astros.
Rays 5, Tigers 2
Yandy Diaz and Mike Zunino homered and Dietrich Enns recorded his second victory over Detroit in less than a week as Tampa Bay won in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Enns (2-0) gave up one run on three hits in four innings while striking out three. J.P. Feyereisen, Pete Fairbanks and Adam Conley each pitched an inning of scoreless relief for the Rays, who had lost five of their previous seven games.
Diaz was the only Rays player with multiple hits, though Manuel Margot reached base three times. Detroit's Tyler Alexander (2-3) was charged with four runs (three earned) on five hits in 5 2/3 innings. Niko Goodrum had a solo home run for the Tigers, whose three-game winning streak was snapped.
Reds 1, Pirates 0
Asdrubal Cabrera hit a pinch-hit sacrifice fly in the seventh inning and Tyler Mahle combined with three relievers on a six-hit shutout, helping visiting Cincinnati post a win over Pittsburgh.
The Reds made the most of five hits to snap a four-game losing skid. They also improved to 61-7 when leading after seven innings.
Mahle (12-5) increased his career-best win total after scattering five hits and striking out four batters in six innings.
Angels 9, White Sox 3
Jack Mayfield drove in four runs to lead visiting Los Angeles to a win against Chicago in the rubber game of their three-game series.
Luis Rengifo and Jose Rojas homered, and Shohei Ohtani and Jared Walsh contributed two hits each for the Angels, who finished 4-4 on an eight-game road trip. White Sox manager Tony La Russa and reliever Mike Wright were ejected in the ninth inning after Wright hit Ohtani with a pitch with two outs.
Angels right-hander Alex Cobb threw five shutout innings in his first appearance since July 23 after sitting out because of right wrist inflammation. Cobb (8-3) allowed two hits, struck out five and walked two.
Athletics 7, Royals 2
Chad Pinder's two-run single capped a four-run third as visiting Oakland defeated Kansas City and claimed the three-game series.
The A's scored three unearned runs in the third to take the lead for good. Oakland starter Paul Blackburn (1-2) earned the win, giving up two runs on six hits in five innings. Royals starter Daniel Lynch (4-5) allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits in two-plus innings before exiting due to left calf tightness.
Salvador Perez hit his 45th home run of the season to give the Royals the lead in the first inning, tying Johnny Bench's single-season record for a catcher. He drove in Nicky Lopez, who reached with a walk to extend his streak to 25 games reaching base successfully.
