ENHYPEN Enters 'Million-Sellers' Club With First Album 'DIMENSION: DILEMMA'

K-pop rookie boys' group ENHYPEN has become a million-selling band, according to a new announcement by Gaon Chart. The boys' first studio album "DIMENSION: DILEMMA" had surpassed sales of 1,139,099 copies so far. Incidentally, ENHYPEN made its debut just 11 months ago.

With 1.1 million sales, the album made its debut at the No. 2 position on the Gaon Monthly Chart and is ranked at No. 3 on the Gaon Album Chart. Fans are impressed that the band was able to compete against popular and seasoned groups such as NCT 127 and Seventeen.

"Dimension: Dilemma", which was released on October 12 this year, performed well on charts worldwide, debuting at the No. 11 position on the Billboard 200 during the first week of its release. At the same time, it had topped Japan's weekly album chart and Oricon's daily album chart. It also topped the Gaon Weekly Chart, iTunes, and the UK's Official Albums Chart, and the US Billboard's World Albums Chart. The album crossed 500k sales on Hanteo on the first day itself making the K-pop band the only fourth-gen group to do so.

The group was ready to break records when the album first garnered 600,000 pre-orders in just six days of its release. Then, with less than a day to go before the release of the album, the groups' fandom pushed it to 910,000 pre-orders, making it nearly a million, which took both fans and non-fans by surprise.

ENHYPEN, formed through "I-LAND", a Mnet survival audition program, is a seven-member boy band who debuted on November 30 last year with "BORDER: DAY ONE". The band is now the tenth artist to sell one million albums on Gaon. It should be noted that ENHYPEN is the quickest and youngest K-pop group to attain this achievement.

Fans of ENHYPEN, popularly known as Engene, can't keep calm after the latest developments and have taken to social media platforms to express their joy. According to fans, the band has not even celebrated its first anniversary in the industry but they are already a million sellers with only three albums and just one full studio album to its name.

Meanwhile, ENHYPEN made an announcement on its official Twitter account on November 2 that they have a fan meeting "2021 ENHYPEN [EN-CONNECT: COMPANION]" lined up. It will be the boys' second official meeting with fans after they celebrated the last one nine months ago. The upcoming fan meeting will also celebrate the band's first debut anniversary. It will take place on November 19-20.
