Hollywood star Reese Witherspoon is reportedly finalizing her $1 billion divorce from husband Jim Toth after enduring years of a sexless marriage, sources claimed, according to the US tabloid National Enquirer.

"Both of them are really longing for a fresh start," reveals an insider. "It's been a tortuous process, in part because physical fun and intimacy went out the window literally years ago."

Sources suggest that one issue within the 12-year marriage was the couple's business relationship overshadowing other aspects of their lives, leaving little time for anything else besides being loving parents to their 10-year-old son, Tennessee.

"Things like date nights and couples' getaways fell off the grid," shares the source. "Slowly but surely, they grew apart and the spark died. They'll always care for each other and want the best for one another, but they've been living like brother and sister for years, and there's only so long you can put up a charade like that."

Reese, 47, and Jim, 52, have reportedly sorted out the details of their divorce, including the division of profits from Reese's $900 million sale of her production company Hello Sunshine in 2021. Reese remains on the board and continues to oversee day-to-day operations, with the company producing her Apple TV+ hit, The Morning Show.

"The bosses there are working her extremely hard, which benefits Jim, too, of course," says the insider. "He's getting half of all the profits, just as they split any cash generated by Jim's failed enterprise Quibi and all their other ventures."

The couple's combined assets, which include millions in real estate and multiple properties in Nashville and California, could be worth over $1 billion.

Previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe from 1999 to 2008, Reese is the mother of their adult children, Ava and Deacon. Sources indicate that Jim is experiencing a "midlife crisis" and contemplating a move to California's Silicon Valley.

"The big dilemma for Jim is whether to bail to Silicon Valley to pursue his own investment career or stay in L.A. to be closer to their son, Tennessee," the insider explains. "He and Reese both want to make this transition as smooth as possible for the boy's sake."

The couple aims to avoid any ugly custody disputes and has agreed to joint custody, with the logistics being their first order of business once the dust settles.
