"Shake It Off" singer Taylor Swift and her team bought the "TaylorSwit.porn" and "TaylorSwift.adult" web addresses even before they could be available to the public on the first day of June, the CNN reported. It is, still, unclear as to what she is planning to do with it.

The move was ignited by a nonprofit Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers who aims to continue to expand the quantity of top-level generic domains, beyond popular extensions as ".net" and ".com".

Numerous other controversial names will be revealed in the first day of June, bit famous companies and public figures are currently being offered some time to buy and register it because another entity gets to use it to their advantage.

This only means that, aside from the preemptive snatching of the sexy sounding addresses by the "We Are Never Getting Back Together" singer, the American multinational corporation Microsoft Office also registered the names "Office.adult" and "Office.porn".

Meanwhile, ".sucks" is another web extension that is becoming popularly available, with its domains amounting to more than $2, 000 for registration, the Ad Week wrote.

As more odd-sounding specialty domains are becoming available, "purchasing" them has been seen as an upcoming trend that could continue for hundreds of celebrities and major brand names wanting to keep their image as wholesome as possible.

While it is true that Swift is popular for being protective of her work and image, she is not the only "big name" who has been reportedly grabbing the "odd" opportunity. Microsoft has also purchased their "names" in order to make sure that your Word and Outlook programs do not become linked to a less family-friendly site.
