"American Horror Story" creator Ryan Murphy announced that Chloe Sevigny will be part of the Season 5 cast. Sevigny had first worked in the show in its second season, “Asylum.”
Although Murphy spilled the beans about yet another celebrity added into the mix, he did not reveal any information about her role. What is known by the show’s fans, though, is that Sevigny will be joining the likes of Wes Bentley, Lady Gaga, Matt Bomer, and Cheyenne Jackson.
In “Asylum,” Sevigny played the role of Shelley, a nymphomaniac who was among the patients at Briarcliff. She revealed her back-story to Dr. Arden, played by James Cromwell, telling the public that her husband, a jazz musician, was the one who had her locked in the loony bin.
According to her, her husband had found her in her bed with “two Navy guys.” Her husband was also having his own fair share of affairs, but he was not appreciative of the fact that his wife was having fun without him.
“He decked me – flat out,” she said in the show, as mentioned in The International Business Times. “Threw me in the car and locked me in the nut house. And, the sickest part is, they let him. Because I like sex. That’s my crime.”
Moreover, Us Weekly has stated that Sevigny is not the only former “American Horror Story” star to make a comeback, it was also revealed at this year’s Paleyfest panel, that Michael Chiklis, Finn Wittrock, and Evan Peters will be returning.
Afterwards, a couple of days later, it was revealed at the Women of American Horror Story panel, which was held in Hollywood, that Jamie Brewer, Naomi Grossman, Lily Rabe, Gabourey Sidibe, Sarah Paulson, Connie Britton, and Kathy Bates all wanted to be part of the show once again.
“I am keeping my fingers crossed,” Bates said. “I sure would love to work with Lady Gaga. I would like to move on and be a part of the new crew. I hope they announce it soon.”
