Vin Diesel Predicts ‘Furious 7’ Will Bag Best Picture At Oscars Awards

Universal Pictures' "Furious 7," the seventh of the franchise movie, will be on the big screen this April and lead actor Vin Diesel predicts that it will win the Oscars' Best Picture Award.

The "Furious 7" movie will be showing all over the globe on April 3 and is expected to set box office records. Many fans of the franchise are eager to see the farewell movie of one of the lead stars Paul Walker.

Diesel, who is also a producer of the movie, states that he believes that the movie will not only be a success in selling lots of movie tickets but also that it is to reap an award at the 2016 Oscars.

In an interview with Variety, Diesel says that Universal Pictures is to have its biggest movie ever in the history of its film making. He also predicts that it will be able to win the Best Picture award.

"Universal is going to have the biggest movie in history with this movie," Diesel explained. "It will probably win best picture at the Oscars, unless the Oscars don't want to be relevant ever."

According to Diesel, this is not the first in the history of an award giving body to have an action movie to win as Best Picture. "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" won the award in 2008.

Diesel is disclosed that he felt that this seventh installment of the franchise as emotionally powerful and is entitled to be a contender for the award, or better yet to win it.

The "Fast and Furious" franchise has given Universal Pictures a $2.4 billion sale and is by far their most successful film franchise in the history, Flicksided reported.
