Eminem executive produced the soundtrack of the boxing film "Southpaw" starring Jake Gyllenhaal.

A new Jake Gyllenhaal is to be seen in his upcoming movie "Southpaw," an upcoming American sports drama movie, which follows the life of a world champion boxer who is challenged by the loss of his wife and separation from his daughter. The actor is to enter the boxing ring in his buff and ripped physique.

Gyllenhaal plays the role of Billy Hope, a great boxer who has to fight to win back his life for his young daughter following the death of his wife. The actor looked toned and brawly as if he has been training daily with Floyd Mayweather, as per Fast Co Create.

Gyllenhaal is known for his role as Louis Bloom in 2014's Nightcrawler, in which the actor was said to lose weight. In "Southpaw", the actor is said to add fifteen pounds for his role as the boxer. In the trailer, the actor will be seen in his muscular body and will be battered and bleeding.

Meanwhile, Eminem teased fans with his new music for the upcoming movie in his post on Twitter. The lyrics says "I am phenomena" at 1:58 in the video.

Last 2010, the artist was initially considered to be the lead actor for the film due to his interest in the boxing genre as well as his experience. In 2012, the artist chose to concentrate on music and put the film on hold. Last year, Gyllenhaal was set to play the lead role.

Along with Gyllenhaal as Billy Hope, the film will star Rachel McAdams as Maureen Hope, and  Naomie Harris as Angela Rivera.

Other members of the cast include Forest Whitaker, Victor Ortiz, Tyrese Gibson, Miguel Gomez, Oona Laurence, Beau Knapp, Rita Ora, Clare Foley, and 50 cent.

Antoine Fuqua is set to helm the film, along with Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Alan Riche, Peter Riche, Kat Samick, Dylan Sellers, Kurt Sutter, Ezra Swerdlow, and Steve Tisch as his co-producers. Kurt Sutter and Richard Wenk are set to pen the film script. Filming took place at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania Kovalcik Convention and Athletic Complex.

The film is to be produced by Escape Artists, Fuqua Films, and Riche Productions. The Weinstein Company is set to distribute the upcoming movie.

"Southpaw" is slated to premiere in theaters on July 31.
