Barely Lethal

Teen action-comedy film "Barely Lethal" becomes rated PG-13, from a previous rated R.

Previously, the film received an R rating from the Classification and Rating Appeals Board for sexual content as well as teens engaged in alcohol drinking, as per The Hollywood Reporter. On March 26, the committee changed the film's rating to PG-13 due to sexual content, alcohol drinking, rude language, drug use, and certain action violence.

On behalf of the film, "Barely Lethal" LLC made an appeal. RKO Pictures Head of Business and Lethal Affairs Suzanne Rosencrans and film director Kyle Newman reported to CARA Chair Joan Graves of the Appeals Board, according to Deadline.

The film trailer shows action in the battle field as well as in school.

"Barely Lethal" is an upcoming action-comedy movie, which follows Megan, a teenage international assassin. The lead character aims for a normal teenage life by falsifying her death and enrolls as a senior high school student. The film will star Hailee Steinfeld as Megan Walsh, Jessica Alba as Victoria Knox, Sophie Turner as Heather, Dove Cameron as Liz Larson, Jaime King as Special Analyst Knight, and Samuel Jackson as Hardman. Madeleine Stack will play the role of young Megan while Eva Cooper will be the young Heather.

Other cast members include Rachael Harris, Jason Ian Drucker, Thomas Mann, Alexandra Krosney, Dan Fogler, Gabriel Basso, Rob Huebel, Steve-O, and Finesse Mitchell.

Along with Newman as the film's helmer, John D'Arco is set to pen the script. Alexis Bishop, Christy Cham, John Cheng, Sukee Chew, Vanessa Coifman, Kevin Cornish, Ryan Dorff, Arianne Fraser, C.C. Hang, Ted Hartley, Molley Hassell, Marcus Kaye, William Leo Keily III, William Leo Kiely IV, Harrison Kordestani, Joseph McKelheer, Brigitte Mueller, Brett Ratner, James Reach, Philip Rose, and Nancy Valle are the film co-producers.
