A mother from Manhattan is suspected for killing her 20-month-old son after she was found with the boy at a bathroom of a Midtown burger joint on Monday.

According to New York Daily NewsLatisha Fisher took her son, Gavriel Ortiz-Fisher, inside a bathroom of a restaurant at 5 Boro Burger on Sixth Ave. at West 36 Street at 2 p.m., according to the police officials.

A witness said that she saw the mother holding her hand over the mouth of Gavriel and Latisha told her that she was just putting her hand over the mouth of the baby because she wants her son to sleep.

Police officials also said that during the time she was in the bathroom of the restaurant, she even locked herself in and the customers and employees were already questioning what was taking her long inside that resulted to the queue being long. The employees then opened the door with a key and they saw the child unconscious and there was foam in his mouth.

According to Daily Mail, the employees and witnesses said that they tried to perform CPR on the 20-month-old but Latisha did not allow them. Gavriel was then rushed to a hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Latisha did not seem panicked about the situation and police officials pointed out that she was soulless and crazy. No charges have been filed yet to Latisha, but she was taken in by the police officials immediately after discovering the incident.

It is still unclear as to why she killed her son. On her Facebook account, there are numerous photos and videos of her son. One of her neighbors at the Fisher's Pitt St. apartment on the Lower East Side said that Latisha sometimes puts on loud music and the smell of marijuana reeks from her flat.

It is not the first time that Latisha has been involved in a violent incident as her older child was taken away from her resulting from the incident that she knifed one of her family members years ago.
