Nintendo experienced amazing success with their plastic toys named Amiibos that allowed players to save games and add extra power-ups. The company is now upgrading these plastic toys with yarn fabrics for a specific game title.

The developers announced in their social media profile that their next game "Yoshi's Woolly World" is coming to the Wii U console this June. The series brings back the crowd favorite croc back to life and with it, it also brings a bunch of new amiibos to make the game interesting.

There are already many toys available in the market. The top sellers include Mario, Peach and Link but they were all made using plastic so far. Nintendo is going to experiment one more time by introducing plush toys that would work with video game consoles, reported IGN.

Compared to the previous editions, these yarn based Yoshi toys are soft to touch and highly suitable for children aged six or less. The amiibo has also been fully integrated into the title so that as soon as the player places it on their Wii U gamepad, a second yarn Yoshi will appear in the game.

The special character will be able to turn into a yarn ball and attack a bunch of enemies at once. It can also be used to easily cross chasms. The idea is to allow players to have a helpful opponent even when they are playing in single player mode, Engadget confirmed.

Nintendo has confirmed that the Wii U game "Yoshi's Woolly World" gets launched in June and these amiibos will be available for purchase on the same day. They will be available in three different color variants including light blue, bright green and pink.
