CD Projekt RED's game "Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" will receive two different expansion packs, one scheduled for October while another will get launched by March 2016.

The game developers earlier confirmed that they are not so impressed by the fact that publishers and developers offering miniscule content in the name of DLCs. Gamers have to pay the full $60 for each title and when they pay more, they get additional maps and weapons.

The scenario was different a couple of years ago when DLCs didn't exist but the games had expansion packs which offered full single player campaigns that offered hours of entertainment. "Witcher 3" aims to bring back the golden era by allowing players to pay and receive content that is worth their money.

Out of the two expansion packs, the first one to get launched is Blood and Wine where Gerald will explore a "No Man's Land". CD Projekt confirmed that the pack will offer at least 10 hours of game play with plenty of side missions and quests.

Hearts of Stone is the second expansion pack scheduled for release in 2016. Both these packs will also add new costumes, weapons and new enemies to fight with, according to a report by Gamespot.

The developers earlier confirmed that they have planned at least 16 DLCs which will be rolled out once the game launches. Players will receive all these downloadable content for free as the company opined that they have already paid $60 and it is fair to give them some value for the investment made.

PC Gamer reported that an expansion pass for the game is now open on the official website. Players can pay $25 to buy both expansion packs while individually the first one will cost $10 and the second pack is priced at $20.

Players can also buy the game bundle along with the season pass for $80. "The Witcher 3" will get launched on May 19.
