HTC Corp. is about to enter the Bangladesh smartphone market in hopes of competing with local brands.

Phones with large screen sizes have a solid fan following in China which is why there are more exclusive launches there than ever. The latest entrant is the HTC One M9+ which will be exclusive to consumers in the country.

With a promising flagship hardware specification and price tag, the phone was introduced in a grand press conference organized by HTC. The representatives shared details of the specifications which is quite similar to the One M9 but has been boosted in specific areas so as to offer more value to the buyers.

The 5.2 inch display found in the phone comes with a massive resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It is powered by an ample 3GB of RAM which should easily suffice to handle day to day activities including phone calls, e-mails, messaging and gaming. It uses an octa core processor and comes with 32 GB of storage space.

The 20 megapixel rear camera is also considered to be a highlight for the phone, Engadget reported. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop which is not the vanilla version but uses a new interface named the China Sense, which is the Chinese version of HTC's Sense UI.

HTC One M9+ comes with a reliable fingerprint scanner and there is also a physical home button on the front. Apart from Apple, most companies have completely ignored physical buttons even though they are quite handy when the touchscreen response is slow.

The company is yet to officially reveal a pricing and release date for the smartphone, according to Paste Magazine.

During the press conference, the company added that they did an extensive research in China and found that people in the country loved big screen smartphones. It prompted them to launch the new HTC phone. They also added that the One M9 is the right phone for US and European markets which is why they have made this one an exclusive device for China.
