One of the main attraction of Mercedes-Benz's presentation during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show was the tuned version of its S65 AMG called the Brabus Rocket 900.

The Brabus Rocket 900 got its name because the car's engine has an output power of 900 horsepower. The car was tuned by Brabus, a high-performance aftermarket tuning company based in Bottrop, Germany.

Brabus used the Mercedes-Benz S65 AMG for this project, according to Autoblog. The company choose to use this particular model because of its twin-turbo V12 engine.

In order to achieve the 900 horsepower engine output, Brabus bored the standard 6.0-liter engine 6.3-liter and added new exhaust, intakes and superchargers. The company also integrated a billet crankshaft and a custom billet connecting rods to the base of the power plant. Brabus also replaced the stock exhaust manifold with their own stainless steel custom designed manifold.

To ensure optimal engine performance, the Rocket 900 was fitted with its own Engine Control Unit. Despite the custom ECU, many analysts pointed that the main reason for the Brabus Rocket 900's massive power output is its modified engine and not the engine software.

Due to its massive engine modification, the car was able to achieve 900 horsepower with a torque of 884 lb-ft which is significantly higher compared to its stock rating of 621 horsepower and 738 lb-ft torque. The modified engine is capable of reaching torque of up to 1,106 lb-for but Brabus decided not to push it further in order to avoid wrecking the cars modified seven-speed automatic gearbox.

Road-test results shows that the Rocket 900 can reach zero to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds and a more impressive zero to 124 mph in just 9.1 seconds. Brabus decided to cut the cars top speed limit 217 mph in order to conserve the tires, according to Marketwatch.

The price of the Rocket 900 will start at around $376,000.
