Microsoft in association with HBO have brought the first episode from season 5 of "Game of Thrones" to Xbox owners.
People who live in the United States will be able to watch the entire first episode on their Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. The agreement is confirmed to be region specific and only people who live in North America can access it. It is a deal that Microsoft has made to add value to the console. They have also been promoting the hardware in multiple regions with massive price cuts.
Gamespot reported that people will be able to stream the content through their Xbox Live account and the offer is valid till Apr. 16.
Apart from the first episode, viewers will also be able to gain access to additional content including trivia questions related to the series and the cast besides an immersive virtual tour. The tour will allow them to visit the sets, magnificent set pieces including the popular iron throne virtually without leaving the comfort of their couch.
The HBO Go app is available on the Xbox consoles to which users can subscribe to and watch all the episodes from season 5, confirmed a report from Xbox Wire. The app is also available on Playstation 4 console, Apple TV, Roku among other devices.
"Game of Thrones" season 5 has been aired in North America and will be rolled out to multiple regions in the following days. Syncing with the launch of the fifth season, the first episode of the Telltale game is now free to download on Android operating system.
