In order to find a more secure way of encrypting in-game assets and create a secure record-keeping system, video game company EverDreamSoft started incorporating cryptocurrency into its game dynamics.

As video game design starts to become more complicated over the years, finding new ways of encrypting in-game assets and setting up record-keeping system have been very difficult. Massive Multiplay Online games like "World of Warcraft" and "Eve Online" all rely on the old-school virtual currency in order to purchase in-game assets. This type of virtual currency are not cryptocurrency because the game still rely on a central server.

However, a growing number of video game developer started to design their games on a decentralized point of view wherein in-game assets and information are not store in a centralized server instead it utilize blockchains, according to Bitcoin Magazine. Although these in-game currency doesn't have real-world value, the main point in using it is for the promotion of putting real value into cryptocurrencies.

EverDreamSoft is planning to release its latest game, "Spells of Genesis," using blockchain in order to record in-game assets. The company uses Counterparty protocol which records all in-game information into a Bitcoin transaction. In contrast to transactions made in other games like "World of Warcraft," this new approach implemented by EverDreamSoft will open a free in-game market.

EverDreamSoft plans to crowdfund its new project in order to gain enough support required for its development, according to News BTC. Koinify will be the one to handle the crowfunding and EverDreamSoft plans to give away perks for those who will avail of the games early-bird version.
