Karen Mok is one of the nominees for the Golden Melody Awards' Best Mandarin Female Singer category.

Hong Kong singer and actress Karen Mok recently unveiled a photography exhibition featuring over 200 photos from her travels around the world, which transpired during her three-month-long break.

Mok set off her global journey in September together with her German-born husband, Johannes Nattere. Their itinerary included Tahiti, Miami, Iceland and the Amazon rainforest.

The Hong Kong star's photo exhibit presents 13 different themes.

"It was the first time that I traveled only with my husband. We were together 24 hours a day. I didn't expect to take so many photos during the trip. I chose those exhibited photos from more than 10,000 photos as I wanted to share my great trip with fans," Mok excitingly shared.

The 44-year-old singer-actress was at the Beijing 798 Art Zone's Yue Museum on April 9 to launch the photo exhibition.

The pop diva celebrated her 20th-year anniversary in the entertainment industry in 2013. In Dec. 2014, she released her Mandarin album "Departures" in Hong Kong.

Mok and her husband planned the album during the trip about a year ago. "Departures" talks about her stories of traveling around the world for work.

The singer-actress entered the industry after she graduated from the University of London in 1990. She was first known for her unconventional and experimental music style.

Mok was part of the main cast of the award-winning Wong Kar-wai-film "Fallen Angels." Her role earned her a Best Supporting Actress tilt at the Hong Kong Film Award.

The Hong Kong star also released in 2013 her first English-language jazz album, "Somewhere I Belong," where she showcased her original jazz tunes.

"I always feel lucky to have my biggest hobby as a lifelong career and I follow my intuition when performing. But now I want to spend more time with my family and to rejuvenate," Mok said.

According to Mok, she is planning to tour around the country to promote her latest album. An original musical for her Chinese fans is also underway.
