Additionally, it also joining Reddit and Blogger in cracking down on pornographic content or any sexually explicit content especially with those that involve minors. Instagram is also looking down on intimate images of couples and content that show sexual intercourse or any genitalia.

The new Instagram guidelines also state that butt photos, whether full or close up shots, are now prohibited from being uploaded. Any account that disregards the new guidelines will be deactivated, according to Wired.

However, the company said that art is still allowed to be uploaded, including paintings and sculptures with nudity. Photos of breastfeeding women and post-masectomy scars are also allowed. The decision comes after a Canadian Instagram user Heather Bays had her account shut down after she uploaded a breastfeeding photo.
